Throwback Thursday: "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" (Brillz & Z Trip Remix) - Jay-Z

Whether you've hopped on the trap train or not, here's an undeniably good remix of "Dirt Off Your Shoulders" by Jay-Z. Kicking it back to one of the kings of hip-hop, my ears are very pleased to hear the preservation of Jay Z’s lyrics over a subtle trapped out version of the original's signature beat. Brillz is an artist everyone should be sure to get familiar with, constantly putting out some of the hardest hitting and innovative trap music out there right now. So if you’re feelin’ like a pimp, go ahead and grab the free download below!

Track of the Day: "Love Sosa" (RL Grime Remix) - Chief Keef

One day he's Clockwork, the other he's RL Grime, but shapeshifter Henry Steinway never fails to bring home the bangers. This one is a remix of Chief Keef's "Love Sosa" and has a HUGE TRVP BEAT sure to be banging through those eardrums come festival season. Grime jumps in and keeps pumping the pedal through Keef's flow with absolutely no mercy. In a time when productions have otherwise been slow, Steinways comes through with a Trap anthem to keep our appetites hungry before the madness begins this summer. If you're headed to Electric Forest this year be sure to catch Steinway as both his aliases, and grab the free download!

Track of the Day: "That Lean" - Borgore ft. Carnage

In anticipation of his new EP set for release at the end of May, Borgore just uploaded two hours ago the first single "That Lean" featuring one of his bros (and legendary Chipotle gangster) Carnage. This is the first we've heard of Carnage's rapping skills, which kick Borgores' royally in the ass, although they're not quite as funny. You'll be wanting to bathe in holy water by the time these two dish out heavy-hitting bass with a raw festival-sized sound ready to shake the circuit of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway!

"My Blood" (Kastle Remix) - Ellie Goulding

The light's starting to shine on the future sound of garage music with this latest remix of "My Blood" for Ellie Goulding. Kastle takes a soulful twist on Deep House by combining the pitched-up vocal style of UK Funky and his own bass-heavy sound. With great sample manipulation of Ellie Goulding's enticing vocals being accompanied by groovy rhythms and flawless progression, you can't help but feel the vibes in this track. Kastle has been one of my favorite up and coming producers for a while now, never failing to deliver quality production of music oozing with seductive, delicious bass. His self-titled album will being making its debut April 23rd, so you'll just have to wait to see what this future-bass mastermind has in store for us.

"Into the Sun" (Brillz Remix) - Run DMT

RUN DMT just released a two track series for his rap intensive Trap banger "Into The Sun" through Play Me Records, with Brillz as the lucky DJ who got the opportunity to slap his own flavor into the song. By accentuating the one-liner "get yo ass down" from the original jam and carving a maze of expanding downbeats and a continuously increasing tempo line, this remix takes the energy that made the original so loud and a burns a brand new hole in the rhythm rug.
