"Dance The Pain Away" - Benny Benassi (Tom Swoon Remix) [Track of the Day]

Tonight I bring you a Progressive smash of a remix brought to us by none other than Tom Swoon. The artist formerly known as Pixel Cheese has brought us a multitude of remixes over the past year of everything from Avicii's "Let Me Show You Love," to Ellie Goulding's "Holding On," to his remarkably innovative remix of Kaskade's "Room For Happiness." The common theme throughout his repertoire is thick synth play and high energy, and his latest remix for Benny Benassi ft. John Legend takes the crown among the creme of the crop. Swoon's take on "Dance The Pain Away" is one of the catchier tunes I've heard in recent months. The best part is that it lacks that overtone of spoon-fed, over the top metallic breaks that's so deeply saturated in the top performing songs of the moment. Grab your copy from Ultra Records today!

Preview: "Hey Now" (Arty Remix) - London Grammar

I have to admit that after being a longtime fan of Arty's, his releases within the past year or so have been consistently hit or miss, but the ones that do shine have been truly beaming. This is one of those tracks. With a dreamy Progressive beat that wraps itself around London Grammar's dripping vocals, the young Russian sensation unveils the true passion and rawness of "Hey Now" in a remix that eludes the stereotypical EDM vibe. Release your tensions and press play.

"Reverie" - Marcus Schössow [Track of the Day]

Dropping his first single for Axtone RecordsMarcus Schössow knows exactly how to make a debut, with his massive "Reverie" more than livening up the quality of music that Axwell's music label puts out. The Swede’s new track blends multiple genres across the electronic spectrum— Electro flashes, Progressive melodies, and those irresistible Schössow Trance vibes. The song translates to a pleasant state of being lost in one's thoughts and the music and this track undoubtedly lives up to its name, captivating you from beginning to end, and really hard not to listen to over and over again. Definitely one of the year's top-notch big room tunes. For those of you in NYC, Marcus Schössow will be at Santos Party House on July 20th. Hope to see you there!

"Disconnect / Reconnect" (Maxime Dangles Remix) - The Japanese Popstars [Exclusive Track of the Day]

The Japanese Popstars are back behind the decks with their first new production since 2012, and it's already taking the Techno world by storm. Formed in 2007 by Decky Hedrock, Gary Curran and Gareth Donoghue, the popstars have been nominated for "Best House DJs" and have received the title "Best Live Act." The three garnered attention from many of the top jocks including Carl Cox, who's been mixing it in recent sets, and John Digweed himself who signed them to his own Bedrock. "Disconnect/Reconnect" is the perfect mix of deep, dark tech although it still flirts with the sound of electronica that The Japanese Popstars are known for, creating a perfectly balanced, pulsating record. Maxime Dangles, also signed to Bedrock, seamlessly remixed the track and throws in his own sprinkling of smooth electro undulations that perfectly blend with the echoing vocal samples and Techno canvas of the original. Play it loud and close your eyes, because this one was made for those shuddering dark warehouse spaces. Stream the exclusive full remix below and grab your copy today (the full album drops on July 15th).

"I Could Be The One" (JTS Hardcore Remix) - Avicii vs. Nicky Romero (Track of the Day)

As I bask in the overwhelming bass emanating from my subwoofers, I can't help but crack a smile. One of the year's best mashups has seen remixes from thousands of producers online, but few cracked open its harder style in their attempts. Tonight I present you with a truly uplifting production that pieces together the unbelievably happy vibe of Avicii and Nicky Romero's original with the Hard Dance spin it's been waiting for. Big ups to Australian Hardcore producer JTS for this craftily mastered free download - play this one loud!
