B2Bs All Night With Tenaglia, Digweed, & Calderone @ Governors Island

This is a big city on the East Coast for dance music, with Electric Adventure going on down in Jersey and the three stars of the night headed to Canada's big city for Veld Festival on Sunday. Either way tomorrow will be one of New York City's best summer offerings when it comes to Techno and Tech House. Local talent Sleepy and Boo and Wolf + Lamb will be opening the party with the heat early followed by a sunset set by the man who already wrecked Governors Beach Club this summer - BK's own Victor Calderone. From 6:30 on the 15 minute B2Bs continue all night with Digweed next up to bat and Tenaglia closing out the party. When it comes to Techno, the more decibels the better and we know it'll be loud, so see you there!

4-5pm: Sleepy & Boo
5-6:30pm: Wolf + Lamb
6:30-8:10pm: Victor Calderone
8:10-8:25pm: Victor Calderone & John Digweed b2b
8:25-10:05pm: John Digweed
10:05-10:20pm: John Digweed & Danny Tenaglia b2b
10:20pm-12am: Danny Tenaglia

"The Robbery" (Original Mix) - Coyu

Last month Chus & Ceballos peaked their set at Governors Island with this blistering Tech House arrangement that has already scooped up support from some of the spiciest DJs in the scene. Contorting you with its tightening and loosening sound, Coyu's "The Robbery" is a heist of a track that steams over into an aggressive, warlike drum section that will send quakes through every corner of the floor. Grab your copy today!

Higher EP - Destructo

With a steady and solid build up, Higher keeps you in a solid bass-centric trance for almost 24 minutes as your mind stays trapped in Destructo's four separate tracks on his new EP that just dropped two days ago. As a member of the OWSLA cartel, he does nothing short of shine within the group of impressive DJs who range from all different genres in the dance music scene. This new EP goes through his original mix of the song "Higher," on to the Brodinski remix, followed by the Tommy Trash edit, and then another original mix 2112. All together, the tracks have some basic similarities, but streaming the entire EP keeps your head bumping and your mind entertained the entire time. The House great will definitely be hitting live shows hard this summer and beyond, when he takes on a set aboard Holy Ship, something everyone is dying to be a part of!

Track of the Day: "Video Siren" (Original Mix) - Gary Beck

This was absolutely the unofficial anthem of Movement 2013. Gary Beck's latest dominated the main stage at least twice when Dave Clarke dropped it the first day followed by Dubfire sunday afternoon. Truncate, among others brought the video sirens to the depths of the Underground stage making the track seem like it was on some kind of drunken repeat throughout the whole weekend. But no one was complaining, when it comes to Techno less is more and this is one of the headiest, stripped-out tracks of the summer.

Track of the Day: "Bang!" - Alex M.O.R.P.H. & Jerome Isma-Ae

Whatever kind of music you're into, build ups are essential to any song. Alex M.O.R.P.H & Jerome Isma-Ae have mastered the art of an escalating sound and keep you at a whole new level in their latest release for Armada. I'm usually a dubstep fan but the Tech tempo in this track fed my thirst for groove and kept me on my feet for the entire duration. "Bang!" is one of those songs that you'll hear vibrating through the subwoofers after already being out all night and just slip into at 3 AM. As Armada and its artists keeps expanding beyond their trademark vocal Trance & Progressive sounds there's a lot of new grooves to be discovered, and this one will land you straight in the jungle. Unleash the beat!
