VONYC Sessions 345 - Paul van Dyk (Jerome Isma-Ae Guest Mix)

One of the best podcasts this week was without a doubt the 345th episode of Paul van Dyk's VONYC Sessions. In a little over two hours, with the help of fellow German Jerome Isma-Ae, PvD takes us on a surprising odyssey that reconciles high and low BPM Trance, Progressive, and Electro. Paul starts off the mix with two of Matt Lange's smoothest tracks before handing over control to Jerome who spins five high-energy IDs. When PvD returns the pace is faster and the tunes start to skip off the charts as the more aggressive snippets quickly reach 130+ BPM. After a listen, it's no wonder why Paul van Dyk will forever be a legendary DJ despite being an underdog in contrast to the celebrity of his peers.

Free Set Downloads: ASOT 600 Miami @ Ultra Music Festival

Ultra really wowed me this year other and other than the crowd situation this past Friday I had an amazing time with amazing people! I was sad not to be able to attend the show yesterday but here's what I and the other unlucky people missed. Ferry Corsten really impressed today the entire stream and I've been hearing rave reviews of Paul van Dyk's closing set. Enjoy and see you all next year for the (supposedly one) weekend of March 28, 29, and 30th!

Track of the Day: "Eternity" - Paul van Dyk (Johan Malmgrem Remix)

When I release all my cares, will you be there when the nightmare ends? German legend Paul van Dyk's original with Adam Young's classic vocals and lyrical genius is an Indie anthem with a hugely uplifting message. But Johan Malmgren really grabs it by the horns and turns it into a symphony of euphoria that will elevate your senses and get the love turned up the love in your system. Carrying us with a driving Progressive beat, Johan adds the perfect dance edge and it overflows, crystal clear from here to "Eternity"! This is a big thank you to all the readers of this site we love you all and are so grateful for your support. "The smallest drop in the ocean can start a wave of emotion" - keep it PLUR!

"I Don't Deserve You" - Paul van Dyk ft. Plumb (Seven Lions Remix)

This is yet another fantastic remix from Seven Lions, a producer out of Santa Barbara who has garnered a lot of attention recently for his fantastic chilled dubstep remixes of Trance songs, such as his remix of "On My Way to Heaven" by Above & Beyond. He continues to deliver forceful remixes that absolutely wow me and have a designated place on all my Chillstep playlists. This track is slightly different from the others in that it has a Trance beat that has been paired with bass elements creating a combination that is unique, fresh and beautiful. Big up to Seven Lions for continuing to post incredible tracks, we for one thing can't wait to see him next weekend at Soundwave AZ!

Hot New Progressive House Track "SummerSLAM" - Filo & Peri

It's a sweltering 86 degrees in New York City, but it's not yet officially summer without this appropriately titled masterpiece by Filo & Peri "SummerSLAM." Its groovy melody and incredible synth line are everything you could want on a hot sticky night. Once you finally reach the drop, Filo & Peri deliver an unforgettable anthem that will without a doubt have crowds going wild. The duo, who previously released tracks on Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk's labels, have finally returned after a two year break. They've made their comeback with the three-track, MONSTA EP, released on their own Lights N Loaded Records on 5/28. Be sure to support the guys, and be on the lookout for forthcoming material. We're stoked to have them back in the (much deserved) spotlight!
