It's hard to believe the second EDC NY is this very week, so here's our final wake up call. Prepare yourselves for two great days of Tech, Electro & Bass with some great Progressive artists thrown into the mix to create that mainstage vibe. Electric Zoo NYC Announces Phase 2 Lineup

The zookeepers love to tease us animals, leaving this tantalizing lineup just out of our reach while we shuffle around our cages hungry for another 115 days. After a very well-received Phase 1 Lineup for the 5th annual Electric Zoo festival, Made Event promised us a longer roster today and they sure did deliver. Now the only thing left out of the formula for a massive labor day weekend are the afterparty announcements, which should be coming our way in early August. Tomorrow @ Webster Hall: Gramatik Age of Reason Tour

Gramatik and special guests heRobust and Cherub touch down in the Big Apple Friday night with their stunning Age of Reason Tour that has already been a huge hit throughout the country. Bringing along a very unique live setup with an immersive and complex visual rig, this New York City stop is one you surely won't want to miss!

Both of these guys are already having excellent beginnings to their year. Ushering in a new era with his own style of funky Electro Acid Jazz, Gramatik's got us hooked, and there's no way to know what he'll be putting out next after already seeing him transition through every genre imaginable. heRobust (Hayden Kramer) is coming off hot from his EPs OG Status and Busted House. Both feature a diversity of Glitch in which Hayden shows his fans how good he is at manipulating sounds. Hopefully we get a chance to sit down with these masterminds and pick their brains to see what they are up to. See you there!

A Season For Trance In New York

You may have thought the days of strung-out big-room riffs and euphoric breaks had their peak in the late 90s but Trance is making a bigger comeback than anyone could have imagined. While Insomniac has been promoting the sound for years already on the West Coast scene bringing countless big name artists to LA's big clubs, the smaller venues of New York City are quickly becoming a haven for the pure Trance enthusiast. Last weekend saw a massive 6-hour set at Sullivan Room from one of the Tri-State's favorites DJ Eco (tracklist here), but there's more to come.
