Moombah Monday: "Everybody Rock" - xKore

Today’s certainly a Moombah Monday, as young UK-based producer xKore gives his fans a preview of Everybody Rock on his EP Stabs, set to release on Inspected on July 30th. With an appropriately titled EP name, the track stabs listeners with a variety of scintillating electro synths, hard kick drums, and striking glitch elements. The entirety of this EP, inclusive of this track, takes an equally niche and very similar composition to that of Knife Party’s Rage Valley EPMatt Cavender demonstrates great prowess as a dubstep & drumstep producer, and he would fare extremely well if he decides to venture on any feats of electro house. If he does so, a release of some kind on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records is definitely a wise course of action and at least shouldn’t be out of the question. That’s all for now, but make sure to look out for big leaps from this Brit, over and out!

Track of the Day: "Control Freak" - Steve Aoki (Dillon Francis Remix)

In today's Track of the Day, we see Dillon Francis give us yet another MASSIVE Moombah remix. His remix of Steve Aoki's "Control Freak" achieves the sound that only Moombah can have: party ready while still being pretty chill. I'm a big fan of this track, and I think this is one of the better Moombah remixes I've seen. If you like what you hear, make sure to check out another Dillon Francis remix, listen to his remix of "Hits Me Like a Rock" by CSS

Express Yourself EP - Diplo

Asian Correspondent Anne Chang with Diplo at Governors Ball NYC

Diplo's Express Yourself EP, released June 12 on Mad Decent is a hot summer party record. Though he's shown us throughout the years his ability to manipulate any sound into a booty-shaking good time, Diplo experiments even further with his usual dancehall-infused moombah beats in this new release. And we're impressed. The full EP is available for stream below!

EP Highlights:

"Express Yourself" ft. Nicky Da B

Featuring the filthy fast flow of New Orleans rapper Nicky Da B, this title track is a banging moombah anthem. And the inspiration for all those photos Diplo's been posting on the Internet. If you haven't checked out the music video yet, you should (you're missing some serious New Orleans Bounce ass-shaking).

"No Problem" ft. Flinch & Kay

With the fresh vocals of frequent Diplo vocal-collaborator Kay, and that harder bass edge provided by the dubstep producer Flinch, this track "plays like a motherfucking champion."

"Barely Standing" ft. Datsik & Sabi

Get a glimpse at the harder side of Diplo's rhythms with this recent Datsik collab. "Barely Standing" incorporates D's usual moombahton sound with the uniquely smooth vocals of Sabi and bassier edge. Blast this track and your subwoofers will leave you barely standing

Track of the Day: "Eat My Lazer" - Will Bailey

This UK producer is about to take the hardcore moombah scene to the next level! Fresh off his latest EP, "The Lazer," Will Bailey delivers this hot track "Eat My Lazer" at 140 bpm. With a huge drop right from the get-go, and hard hitting bass lines, Bailey beautifully combines dubstep with moombahton. Released yesterday 5/21 on Jack Knife Records, the track has already received support from the likes of Downlink, Calvertron, Vaski and Nick Thayer. You can grab this killer track on Beatport now.
