Free Download: Madeon Live Triple J Mix

EDM's underage superstar Madeon keeps the dance floor alive with his "Triple J Mix" including tracks from Audien, Kill The Noise, Wolfgang Garter, A-Trak, not to mention a few smash hits of his own. In his notorious style he covers a lot of ground on this mix, and every second of it is right on beat. This talent young DJ managed to mix a total of 46 songs into his flawless production of "Triple J Mix." Despite playing five MainStage sets at Future Music Festival and a few other performances, this French wonder worked his magic to deliver this fire packed 33 minute mix that is right on point. Trance, house, electro, techno—you name the style this mix has it. I'm not only impressed, but also straight up addicted to this mix. If you're on the road to Ultra make sure to dive into mix while venturing to Miami since its now up for streaming and free download. Press play, turn up the volume, and let the energy of this mix take over your night!

Track of the Day: "The City" - Madeon (The M Machine Remix)

American duo The M Machine have infused their own style into "The City," French prodigy Madeon's massive release from a couple months back. Keeping the tracks original vocals, The M Machine abandoned Madeon’s poppy Nu-Disco feel, electing to swap it out for more a Progressive sound.  Though this track does not have the vibes of a typical track from The M Machine, a pounding bass-line with dominant, catchy synths have made this Popcultur release one that will appeal to the masses.  The mix was recently featured on Felix Cartal's weekly House podcast "Weekend Workout 042", and it will definitely be featured in sets to come so keep your ears ready festivalgoers!

"Love Icarus" - Madeon vs. Nervo (Aylen Mashup)

Here is a brand new House mashup from New Jersey based DJ and producer, AYLEN. The track beautifully blends the young Madeon's "Icarus" with the sweet vocals of the NERVO twins' "You're Gonna Love Again." Be sure to grab this mashup by AYLEN for free, and check out his other killer originals and remixes! Another one of my favorites is his "Blessed" remix, which is also available for free download below!

"The City" - Madeon

18 yearold Hugo Pierre Leclerq, better known as Madeon, released a new single called “The City” which will be featured on his new EP due in the next couple months.  The French wonder kid has been at it in the studio non-stop producing remixes and original tracks such as “The Night Out”, “Icarus”, “Finale” (which was featured on ESPN this past month), and now “The City”. Leclerq in a recent interview said that this might be his favorite track that he’s ever produced so it must tell you something about the production quality and technique that went into making this track. This Nu-Disco and Electro pop prodigy brings the same emotion and blissful dance beat into this track as he does in other pieces of work. His unique style and his knack for finding amazing vocalists creates an extra element to his music, and the pop feel to this track will entice all music lovers.  Watch out for Madeon’s new album that’s coming out, it’s going to be a major hit.

"Swede Love" - Jakob Liedholm

One of the prevailing trends in the current state of the dance music industry is the emergence of young and extremely talented producers. Just like how Madeon reigns over the pool of adolescent electro pop and nu disco producers, it has become clear that 16-year old Jakob Liedholm is a strong contender to assumer the progressive house throne. After several notable edits and remix jobs, JL has recently released his first single “Swede Love” on the Sony Music UK label. The track implements constant piano play to create an overall lighter ambience usually associated with the Swedish progressive house genre. The palatable mix is accentuated by diverse drum action, purposefully placed white noise, and complex harmonies. The melodic fusion of these elements results in a masterful piece that applies to a wide spectrum of listening scenarios, the ends ranging from total relaxation to massive festival/club raging. Watch out for the King of the Kids, and make your Sunday a Swedish Sunday!
