Catch a 6 Hour Kaskade Redux Set at Tao Las Vegas Labor Day Weekend

My favorite DJ Kaskade has just confirmed a very special return of his Redux style set in anticipation of his Big Rooms Small Tour this fall, where he will be hitting arenas in Brooklyn, Chicago, Miami, and Los Angeles. Ryan has captured the summer lovin' imaginations of hundreds of thousands in a decade of stardom that has seen between 150 and 200 headlining performances each year, and this Labor Day weekend (Sunday, September 1) he will be playing a 6 hour set at Tao Las Vegas to commemorate the summer vibe entrenched deeply in his persona. I'm a sucker for extended sets so we might have to fly out for this one. Grab your tickets now!

The 2012 installment of Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas has officially come to a close - what a weekend, and what a crowd! Although this year's event had some difficulties that couldn't be avoided (the wind Saturday night that forced the stages to shut down), it was still a weekend full of hard-hitting EDM and most of all, PLUR! Official reviews and more are coming soon, but in the meantime enjoy this collection of our favorite live sets from EDC 2012! We will update this post as new sets are released on the web, so keep checking, and enjoy!

Your Guide to Saturday at EDC Vegas

I'm going to keep this short and sweet. With the kickoff of the 2012 edition of Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas coming up tonight, the only thing on my mind is making sure I wake up in time to make my 7 AM flight out
of LaGuardia en route to Sin City. The EDMLounge team is waiting for me and I certainly cannot wait to meet up with them!

Now, we've heard it all. "This is the year of EDM." "EDM is bigger than ever." "Jay-Z wants to cash in on the EDM craze." In all honestly, it's all very true. Hell, your mother probably listens to EDM. But how significant is a festival like EDC Las Vegas? With around 350,000 tickets sold over 3 days in the largest party city in the world, this festival is certainly going to satisfy each and every beautiful person in attendance. And if you're like me, you're going to plan out each day to ensure you absolute will not miss your favorite DJs.

Here's where you'll find me Saturday night at the Speedway:

8:20 - 8:50 PM Sander van Doorn

9:45 - 11 PM Jochen Miller

11:00 - 11:45 PM Rank 1

11:45 - 1:00 AM Markus Schulz

8:50 - 9:50 PM Nicky Romero

2:30 - 4:00 AM Tiësto

4:00 - 5:30 AM Steve Aoki with Blue Man Group <----- GOING TO BE CRAZY!!!

circuitGROUNDS (ASOT Stage)

1:00 - 3:00am Armin van Buuren

4:15 - 5:30am W&W

I really love Saturday because, coming off Friday's insane house, progressive, and electro acts (Kaskade, Angello, Ingrosso, Hardwell, Morillo, SJ&RM, AN21, etc) this day is set for a super beautiful and euphoric ASOT. My heart is beating and my skin is tingling just thinking about it. Drink LOTS of water, take your vitamins and try, yes, please just try, to eat something during the weekend because we all know no one is getting any rest.

Here's the full Saturday lineup

Your Guide to Friday at EDC Vegas 2012

EDC Week is already among us, and with the release of the set times for Electric Daisy Carnival last night we have been diligently working to sort out the festival for all of you. Below is where you'll find me tomorrow at the festival, with all the can't miss sets (sorted by time) and much, much more.

Hardwell: 8:30-9:30 PM (kineticFIELD)

If you're eager to start your EDC experience early, there's no better place to be than at mainstage for the Dutch Hardwell. With his consistently unique Progressive House productions and hard-hitting mixes, Hardwell is sure to make the sea of people bob their heads to the beat. Get ready to get down, Las Vegas.

Knife Party: 9:30-10:30 PM (kineticFIELD)

Rob and Gareth know how to bring down the house! After playing one of the most impressive sets at this year's edition of Ultra Music Festival in Miami, the entire Vegas crowd will be eagerly awaiting their arrival to the craziest party of 2012. With the recent release of their new highly-acclaimed EP Rage Valley, the Dubstep/Electro House duo will be on top of their game at this year's EDC. Don't miss this set!

Sebastian Ingrosso: 10:30-11:30 PM (kineticFIELD)

Ingrosso blew me away with his afternoon set at EDC New York, and tomorrow will surely be no different. With a crowd of 100k+, this Swedish House Mafia Progressive House superstar will be sure to blow the roof off the desert sky!

Mat Zo: 11:30-12:30 AM (circuitGROUNDS Group Therapy Stage)

Mat Zo is one of the most creative people in EDM, so it would be a shame to miss his set! Constantly experimenting with new styles and sounds, Zo is at the forefront of the #EDMRevolution. Don't skip out on this hard-hitting Trance genius, and let him get your ears ready for the bliss to come as he opens for Above & Beyond!

Datsik: 11:25-12:05 AM (neonGARDEN)

If you're after that #BASS sound, then head to neonGARDEN for three killer back-to-back Dubstep sets by the three leaders of the genre. Get ready for some heart-throbbing filthy basslines and kicks, and drops that will make you shit your pants. Really. Datsik doesn't mess around, and I doubt the crowd tomorrow will either. This guy is serious.

Borgore: 12:25-1:05 AM (neonGARDEN)

Borgore's all about his trademark Hardcore-influenced "Gorestep" sound. Get ready to be blasted by some bass, and plug those ears. The multi-talented rapper, producer, and DJ will keep you on your toes the entire set. Borgore blew me away at EDC New York this year and tomorrow should be no different.

Excision: 1:25-2:05 AM (neonGARDEN)

Excision will slice you in half with his grimy, violent sounds, making you move in ways you never possible. Cover those ears and prepare for the madness ahead, and bow down to the bass god

Above & Beyond: 12:30-2:30 AM (circuitGROUNDS Group Therapy Stage)

An Above & Beyond set is beyond words. The English trance trio has definitely been around the EDM-block, starting the massively successful Trance label Anjunabeats and radio show Trance Around the World. But apart from their commercial success, an A&B set is truly one of the most spectacular things you'll ever see. These masters of melody are at the core of the EDM movement, and I've never seen such loyal fans to any other Electronic artist. Get ready for some Group Therapy!

Kaskade: 1:30-3:00 AM (kineticFIELD)

Shit is going to go crazy when Kaskade hits kineticFIELD tomorrow night, and we couldn't be happier he's playing a 2.5 hour set! The American DJ and Producer has been at the top of his game since his burst of popularity came with his Deadmau5 collaboration "Move for Me." And that was a while ago. With a whole new array of sounds and killer visuals, this one's going to be crazy. Being the undeniably best set at Ultra Music Festival, I couldn't expect anything less from him tomorrow under the electric sky. We can't wait for Kaskade!!!

Steve Aoki & Afrojack: 3:10-4:10 AM (neonGARDEN)

If you were worried you'd miss Afrojack for A&B Friday night, don't worry - this set will be better anyways. Afrojack has been a touring machine these past years, so it's great that he's going to spice things up with a little bit of Aoki! I can't wait to see what crazy antics are in store for the Vegas crowd when the two "No Beef" collaborators show us a little of what they got.

Alesso: 3:00 - 4:00 AM (kineticFIELD)

Teaming up with Sebastian Ingrosso for the smash-hit anthem "Calling," the Progressive House star Alesso has quickly jumped from unknown to superstardom. And that's no surprise once you hear this guy mix. He definitely gets my vote for the fourth addition to the SHM clan. I have no doubt that Alesso will keep the crowd happily dancing and swaying until morning.

Sidney Samson: 4:10 - 4:50 AM (neonGARDEN)

One of the true masters of the Dirty Dutch genre, Sidney Samson has been around a while. With his groovy progressions and repetitive yet refined House sound, we couldn't think of a better person to take us from night to morning.

Fedde le Grand: 4:30 - 5:30 AM (kineticFIELD)

It's going to be a shitshow tomorrow when Fedde le Grand closes kineticFIELD, and I couldn't be more excited! Fedde had one of the best mainstage sets at Ultra this year, and with all the hype this guy's been getting I expect the crowd to be still full of energy by the time the sun rises over the desolate Nevada desert. Get ready to shuffle until the morning to some killer Progressive House! And then head back to sleep for a little until it's time for round two on Saturday!
