"Meet Her In Miami" (Original Mix) - Gareth Emery

Out today on the legendary Garuda is a Progressive track that will have you soaking in the tropical rays as soon as you press play. As a tribute to Da Hool's "Meet Her at the Love Parade," Gareth's latest incorporates a sunny flavor into his usually harder tracks. The spicy flavor of this one gets me in the mood for Winter Music Conference, which is coming up faster than anyone could have imagined. I have to admit this one has gotten mixed reviews on the internet, but I'm going to stand by Gareth because the deep Progressive video game sound really started to grow on me after a few plays, and I can really see this popping off at 2 AM in a live mix.

Out now on Beatport!

Throwback Thursday: "Tomorrow Never Comes" (Gareth Emery Remix)

It's about time for a five-star-Throwback-Thursday! If you're a fan of Gareth Emery you will appreciate how long this guy has been around churning out goosebump-inducing tunes like this. Characteristic of his haunting melody builds and deep-wall-shaking sound, Gareth's 2006 remix of Dt8's "Tomorrow Never Comes" is a testament to his long-time dedication to the craft of Trance music. The British DJ/Producer is one of my favorites around, and although he's adopted a more Progressive sound throughout the years the Garuda legend still has his own distinct sound that you'll pick up on in this one. Prepare yourselves for a timeless auditory masterpiece sure to send shivers down your spine. If you're in the city, make sure to catch him the 22nd at Pacha, if this month's showing is anything like his last NYC performance at Governors Island, it's going to be a spectacular treat you can't miss!

"DUI" (Original Mix) - Gareth Emery & Ashley Wallbridge

The all-star collab that brought you "Mansion" is back again with an intoxicating new mix set to shake the walls of clubs around the world. "DUI" is just what the title would entail, a tease. You think you know what you're doing, setting off into the dark night with a little booze in your system. Well you were wrong. Drifting through the empty streets you accelerate, a fatal mistake that's going to cost you. The melody line overflows with anticipation complemented by a creeping bass line that quickly hits its apex with an adrenaline-fueled, euphoria-filled break (as you get pulled over by the po po). Set to release December 17th, this Garuda record is set to take over dancefloors with Gareth's trademark sound that has placed him in a realm all of his own within the Trance scene. He's back baby, so get ready to get wasted, but "don't get pulled over - stay on the dancefloor!"

Review: Gareth Emery at Governors Island

From the moment we stepped aboard the ferry at South Street in Lower Manhattan, Trance was in the air. I have been to many shows at Governors Island, but none could possibly compare to last Saturday's showing. It goes without saying that Made Event really know how to throw a party, but the energy from the crowd in response to Gareth Emery's massive two-and-a-half hour set is what really turned this night from a normal night of partying into a life-affirming musical experience.

With the whole world oogling over the live stream (above - Gareth's set starts about 3 hours in), #GarethEmeryNYC quickly became a trending topic worldwide. With a mind-blowingly melodic, uplifting, and grooveable 2.5 hour set filled with originals, established crowd-hits, and everything in between, this was hardly a surprise.

Set Highlights & Crowd Favorites

"Kansai" - Alex Sonata

Gareth gave the #TranceFamily a taste of what was to come by opening his set with this inspirational Trance record. I had never heard this track before but was absolutely blown away by its big-room sound and his seamless transition into his own original, "The Saga."

"The Saga" - Gareth Emery

"Mansion" - Armin van Buuren (Porter Robinson Edit)

"All I Can Give You" - Let The Music Play ft. UTRB (Ashley Wallbridge Remix)
