Our Favorite Photos of 2013

Electric Forest, Brooke Allan for EDM Lounge2013 was a great year for our family. From Vegas to Michigan, from Detroit to Belgium, the connections we made and the sounds we heard are something that we'll hold onto for a lifetime. Wave adieu to the year our movement made itself a permanent part of American history with some of our favorite photos of the year.

Tomorrowland Ticket Sale Pre-Registration Live

Start planning your getaway to the fabled land of...Tomorrow? The Belgium superfest is notorious for selling out quick, but you guys can head over to their site for preregistration now to make sure you get those tickets when they go on sale. It's still up in the air whether we'll be going, but it's worth a shot I guess. 3-day tickets start at 199 Euro, which is cheaper than a lot of the huge festivals here in the US, but those plane tickets are what's killer (about $900 RT from JFK). If you've been dreaming of a Eurotrip for ages, maybe now is time to make it happen. Tomorrowland --> Ibiza anyone? Oh yes, oh yes, oh yes!

CounterPoint Music Festival Moving From Atlanta to New York

I always hear people compare massives to "Modern Day Woodstock," but now this might be for real. The small rural town of Saugerties, New York, where Woodstock was last held in 1994, is about to get some taste of Electronic Dance Music. After a huge lineup last summer in Fairburn, GA that we just missed by some last-minute logistical problems (basically we didn't have a car), the new 3-day camping festival is coming to the Empire State. This is definitely an interesting move by the promoters, especially considering the fact that the site where Camp Bisco is held is relatively close. This is pretty much a sure thing, being unanimously approved today by the local city council to be held July 11-13 at the Winston Farm. All that's left from making this a reality is getting the required permits. MCP Presents is hoping to attract around 20,000 festivalgoers this year, and shooting to expand in the coming years. Looks like festival season this year is going to be sweet, and we definitely need to get that bus I was talking about...

June 27-30 It Is! See You At Electric Forest 2013

I've been waiting for this ever since July, the day that the 3rd annual Electric Forest festival would finally be confirmed! There is not one single event that I have gone to that can even come close to comparing with what Insomniac & Madison House put on last summer, and I'm sure it will be even bigger and better this year. Four more days of love, camping, chill vibes, and killer music performances are set to return to the small little town of Rothbury, Michigan this June 27-30. We're super excited that they made the wise choice to make it the weekend after EDC Vegas, so those of us who just can't get enough have the option of attending both. This has yet to be confirmed by the festival however you can see that they've begun the permit application...

Seriously though, this is not just the best festival I've ever gone to, but the best experience of my life! I hope all of you make the best choice of your lives and come with us next year. Who knows we may have to have a Lounge caravan... and you're all invited. Nothing can compare to last year's festival, but I'm sure 2013 will bring a new vibe that is just as special for all EF-goers.
