"On Off Lazer Beams" (Eric Prydz Mashup) - Cirez D vs. Green Velvet & Harvard Bass

We heard nothing but rave reviews from the members of our team that were lucky enough to be in Toronto for the inaugural Canadian Sensation held Saturday at Rogers Centre in Toronto. The ballpark seemed like the perfect venue to deck out with lasers, jellyfish, and volcanic structures spewing CO2 - if you saw any pictures from the night you'd know that it was massive, much bigger than the event's first North American landing last fall at Barclays Center in NYC. Unfortunately the night's two biggest stars (Fedde le Grand & Eric Prydz) didn't record their full sets, but we were lucky enough to get this awesome mashup that you may have heard at EDC NY as well that makes me really sad I wasn't able to go this weekend. Green Velvet (Curtis Jones) & Harvard Bass' tune has that old Chicago House sound even though it just came out - the perfect canvas for the dark side of Prydz to come out as Cirez D. Shoutout to Daniel Smallman from Ontario for recreating the mashup for us!

Track of the Day: "Thunderstuck" - Cirez D

The darker side of Eric Prydz is always creeping out, especially when he gets down to business as his alter ego Cirez D. If there was a track made for the vibes underneath Ultra MegaStructure, this is it. Although Prydz received a lot of heat for some public embarrassments after boozing up too hard during WMC, he manned up to his mistakes publically and is here to redeem himself today in a futuristic fashion. The powerhouse Techno wizard uploaded two new tracks earlier today he's been previewing since Miami for his upcoming 18th release on Mouseville May 6th. "Thunderstuck" is a radioactive Techno anthem held together by blaring alarm bells and an orchestra of percussion. Tracks like this are why we blog! Be sure to check out the second track he uploaded "Drums In the Deep" if you like what you hear.

"Let Me Feel" (Original Mix) - Jeremy Olander

Eric Prydz has always been known for composing music in an incredibly unique, entrancing style, and the signees he has found for Prdya Friends are among rare air. Fehrplay has quickly gained popularity, and now Prydz' protege Jeremy Olander is holding his ground with the long awaited release "Let Me Feel". The song is arranged beautifully, with some jazzy vocal samples that subtly lie under the bouncing synths to give the track an uplifting quality. The melody is spot on and incredibly reminiscent of Prydz, as the top line has some progressive qualities that really compliment the warmth of the bass. After the build the vocals are removed for the chorus, but this only allows the gorgeous arrangement of the melody to shine through. This is a great track to get lost in, and it will be exciting to see what is in store for Jeremy Olander.

Throwback Thursday: "Breaking 2Night" - Eric Prydz vs. OceanLab

Of all of Above & Beyond's aliases throughout the years, their work under OceanLab shines the brightest. Formed back in 2000 with star vocalist Justine Suissa, these productions stay relevant and widely used in their sets to this day. Today we throwback to 2007 when "Breaking Ties" was first premiered on TATW 178, making waves for the trio. Maor Levi chopped up the track to mash it alongside Eric Prydz' "2Night" to create this truly dreamy mix that you'll still hear every now and then. Playing this one will have your spirit instantly transported to the cool marine blue where OceanLab calls home. Happy Valentine's Day Anjunalovers!

Free Download: "Every Day" - Eric Prydz (DJ Xristo Tech Remix)

Pryda's latest hit single is the EDM anthem of this fall. After recently being featured on the Ultra Music Festival trailer, we are even more pumped for what's awaiting us in Miami this March. America DJ Xristo impressed us back in August with his killer remix of Daft Punk's "Something About Us," and now he's back with a hard-hitting Tech re-up of Eric's already masterful production. This free download is hot off the presses, so be sure to grab it and prepare yourself for the wonders coming our way this Spring. 'Cause there's no better combination than booze, tropical rays, and faded dancing to some Tech House.
