Preview: "Animals" - Martin Garrix

It couldn't have been easy to keep his identity as the producer of this track under wraps but Martin Garrix finally came out from behind the curtain as the hands behind Spinnin's latest banger. The track was uploaded as a teaser to the label's channel earlier in the month only to receive massive praise and loads of speculation. Hot off the release of several collabs with everyone from veteran Sidney Samson to newcomer Julian Jordan, Garrix made it clear today that he was after the solo action and attention. In an industry where bangers are a dime a dozen it takes a lot to really get noticed but this will definitely get the job done. We'll update you when the original mix is released.

"Never Say Goodbye" (Original Mix) - Hardwell & Dyro ft. Bright Lights

Bright Lights' vocals over the tried and true twangy Revealed sound turned out to be a surefire hit as Hardwell took to the stage of Ultra Music Festival for the defining set of his career. "Never Say Goodbye" makes up for its somewhat stale backbeat with a truly powerful vocal section from Bright Lights which provides a glossy coating over the sweeping rhythm. Dyro and his mentor wind down the tempo with perfect form before pulling us backwards, unraveling a beat that pops open like a jack-in-the-box. Keep your eyes fixed on Robbert as he advances towards the ultimate coup later this year.

Track of the Day: "Code Emergency" (BT Mashup) BT + Andrew Bayer vs. W&W + Ummet Ozcan

If you tuned into to this week's episode of Tritonal's Tritonia or BT's guest mix on episode 26 of Group Therapy, then this tune will sound familiar. "The Emergency Code" is a spectacular mashup that wraps BT and Andrew Bayer's "The Emergency" around the pumping sound of W&W and Ummet Ozcan's "The Code."

These two are amazing on their own, but it surprised me how well the sound meshed together to add a different vibe to one of the favorite Electro tracks from the ASOT Expedition. BT is on a roll this year, having released hits such as his remix of L.A. by Super8 & Tab for Anjunabeats and the mindblowing "Skylarking." I'm off the wall excited to hear his new album and what else Brian has in store for us for the summer.

Preview: "Alive" (Hardwell Remix) - Krewella

What a year it's been for Krewella. Ever since the release of their first EP Play Hard last summer, they've gone from relative unknowns to EDM superstars. A lot of their success is attributed to "Alive," which although almost a year old, is still getting a lot of plays, and is about to get a lot more. The track has already received the remix treatment from artists such as Pegboard Nerds and Maor Levi on their free Play Harder remix EP, so I was a little bit shocked when I learned that it'd be receiving a makeover from none other than Robbert van de Corput. And after listening to its debut last night following the Daft Punk interview on Pete Tong, I'm happy to report that Hardwell has taken the job more than seriously. What sets this remix apart from all the others is how well Hardwell combines overwhelming synths with the softer, laidback sound of "Alive." It's an astounding and cathartic combination, speaking volumes to the superstar's skills behind the computer. Although no official release date has been given yet, we'll keep you posted.

"Simon Says" - Sephano & Torio

Everyone knows the classic childhood game of "Simon Says" and Chicago's own Sephano & Torio are bringing it back with an erotic twist. The duo's Radio Edit was just previewed yesterday is a pulsing Electro track with some loud club banging noise and catchy vocal samples. The track reminds me a lot of Cedric Gervais' "Molly," but with 10x the energy and none of the MDMA. This one drops May 14th exclusively through Beatport, check back on Tuesday for our exclusive of the extended original mix!
