"Baby Pupu" (Original Mix) - Skoop

I know it's Thursday, but this is not a throwback track. Though this one remained completely unheard all the way from last summer until Zeds Dead dropped it on their Spring promo mix, I'm sure once it gets some play it'll end up selling a decent amount of records. I can promise you this is not your typical Dubstep track but something about it is so right. Dropping a short sample of this in between a transition would completely disarm any crowds doubts about your mixing abilities. Spoiler alert: they're just saying "Baby Pupu" the whole time.

Live Set Download: Knife Party @ Coachella Weekend 1

Rob & Gareth know sure know how to impress with a tracklist, and their set from last night was just the right assortment of hard Electro and bass. Every year Coachella seems to become more of a place for dance music enthusiasts and more of a fashion show, both of which I hope you noticed from watching the live feed last night. The Ultra MegaStructure which last month held greats Digweed, Hawtin, Cox, van Dyk, and more has been stretched out to its full capacity to fit the huge desert crowd in the Sahara "tent." As a desert native I'm not too sure how much fun I'd have packed in like sardines in that weather, but a lot of people seemed to have be having a blast - check out this "Rave Dad" breaking it down. Either way this was our favorite set from last night that we could get a high quality audio rip of, although you sorely missed out if you didn't watch Benassi and Moby earlier in the night (how many IDs can one man spin?). Throwback Thursday: "Scum" - Datsik

Known as one of the Gods of Dubstep in the dance scene today, Datsik recently released a classic '09 throwback for you all you bass heads. I was personally never a big fan of his, just listening to him here and there but never really paying much attention. But the release of this song totally changed my mind and made me fall in love with what he's capable of. The heavy bass riffs, slow tempo, and sound layering minimization is pretty awesome, echoing the grungier days of dark all-night warehouse raves. But what's even more incredible about "Scum" is how he keeps it old school while still targeting the new wave sound, quite a feat for 2009. Datsik, I must say you nailed it. Watch out for the upcoming re-release on his next EP out on Firepower!

"Black Magic" (Part 2) - Kill the Noise

I was converted to an obsessive Kill the Noise fanatic last year, and I mean it when I say that nearly everything he releases or is involved with I am crazy about. Having worked with Dim Mak, Mau5trap, and OWSLA, Jake Stanczak has proven to be extremely talented, versatile, a performer in every sense of the word, and understands music as something to experience and truly listen to - not just noise to hear. "Black Magic Part 2," his latest Drumstep creation, laces in choir-like vocals, heavy buildups, and furiously dense bass drops. The track goes into beautifully dark places and takes the listener up and down peaks of intense musical tension before releasing it as hard as possible. I had to get up out of my seat when I first heard this track because my blood was pumping so hard. So, Kill the Noise, once again I am bowing to your immense musical genius.

Free Download: "Ass & Tittiez" - Crizzly & Logun

As a lover of Dubstep, rap, and bass, I think it's safe to say that Crizzly my perfect man for all. Banger after banger, Crizzly is forever cranking out these heavy beats that makes me want to kick down some doors and vandalize something. If any of you remember this old rap track, "Ass and Titties," get ready to experience the Crizzly take on this song renamed, "Ass and Tittiez." Shout to Logun to for his filthy B-More magic on this track too! Dubstep, ass, and tittiez. What more could we possibly need? Catch Crizz at EDC NY where he's sure to throw it down low!
