Track of the Day: "Faster Than Light" - Far Too Loud

Ever since they stepped onto the field, Far Too Loud has been known for their throttling, high energy productions. The latest EP "Faster Than Light" holds true to their roots while adding another level of technicality to their arrangements. Oliver Cash, the man behind Far Too Loud, has a rare way of taking the usual electro-house wobbles and squeals and arranging them in a manner that is technical and unusual. The song kicks off with an ominous vocal clip that leads into a frenzied build with some whining synths and well-used filters. The verses have pounding rhythms which are tightly layered to keep the tempo moving at a break-neck pace - but this is just the warm up. The song title can be taken literally as the interlude carries a surprise. Instead of following traditional song structure and going back to the chorus, the tempo changes to double time and this track turns into an unrestrained drumstep thumper. The production quality is close to flawless, as even the most distorted and chaotic elements of the track rip through the mix in an incredibly clear manner. Pick up the EP today!

"Black Magic" (Part 2) - Kill the Noise

I was converted to an obsessive Kill the Noise fanatic last year, and I mean it when I say that nearly everything he releases or is involved with I am crazy about. Having worked with Dim Mak, Mau5trap, and OWSLA, Jake Stanczak has proven to be extremely talented, versatile, a performer in every sense of the word, and understands music as something to experience and truly listen to - not just noise to hear. "Black Magic Part 2," his latest Drumstep creation, laces in choir-like vocals, heavy buildups, and furiously dense bass drops. The track goes into beautifully dark places and takes the listener up and down peaks of intense musical tension before releasing it as hard as possible. I had to get up out of my seat when I first heard this track because my blood was pumping so hard. So, Kill the Noise, once again I am bowing to your immense musical genius.

Free Download: "The Drop" (MUST DIE! Remix) - Bro Safari

MUST DIE! took Bro Safari's trap anthem, "The Drop," and revamped it into a heavy drumstep banger. By adding a thick bassline and more intense drops, this remix is a perfect pick-me-up for all those still recovering from UMF, and for the rest who are just struggling through the Tuesday blues. Its amped feel and melodic synths will make your head bob without you even realizing it. Snag this tune for free, turn it up, and feel the hype.

Free Download: "Breathe With Me" - At Dawn We Rage

Wow. Only a few days after releasing a very chill remix of Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Swimming PoolsAt Dawn We Rage has gone in the exact opposite direction and released ‘Breath With Me’. This Drumstep banger is the exact opposite of chill, with a scorching opening synth piece backed up by a solid drum beat. The drop comes hard and fast (the only way to do for a Drumstep track), and the breakdown brings the entire track together. At Dawn We Rage has been on top of their game as of late, and each new track they release just keeps getting better and better. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us in the future.

Free Download: "Clarity" - Zedd (Jay Cosmic Drumstep Remix)

This isn't even a Skrillex track (not that I'm the hugest fan), but by the time this one drops you'll be screaming "YES, OH MY GOD!!!" The debut studio album was a huge success for Zedd, proving to the world that EDM can do it big: Interscope Records big. The title track "Clarity" is a massive Electro track in itself, with a memorable vocal performance from Foxes. This remix will blow you away though. It's got grime, a driving D&B beat, and enough energy to get you completely in the zone after just three minutes, and the vocals just flow too perfectly. Up & comer Jay Cosmic is now directly in our radar, and a saint for giving away a download this good for free. Listen for yourselves.
