Track of the Day: "Deviance" - Excision & Datsik (Dirtyphonics Remix)

Excision's newly released remix EP entitled X Rated (The Remixes) features edits by drum and bass and dubstep artists such as Dirtyphonics, Far Too Loud, Lucky Date and Xilent to name a few.  The EP features banger after banger, as long as hard and loud bass growls and piercing synths are your type of thing. The most popular track of the album thus far has been Dirtyphonics’ remix of “Deviance”.  The French quartet speed up the tempo a bit to give it a harder hitting drum and bass style while they still keep the redeeming qualities of the original. The track builds with machine-like noises that sound like something out of the Transformers movie series, and then at the command of the vocal “Drop It," the Dirtyphonics lay down some serious heat. The drop sounds similar to the original but more chopped and faster, with some added background lazers and sliced vocals. Dirtyphonics put on an amazing set last weekend at Electric Zoo, and with their constant stream of remixes coming out, be sure to not to miss them when they're coming to a city near you.

Track of the Day: "Soldier" - Amba Shepherd (Chooky Remix)

Amba Shepherd released her wet vocals for her newest single "Solider" soon to be released on QuantumDNB. Different producers from around the globe took a stab at the remix contest to see if they have what it takes to work with one of EDM's rising vocal queens. Amba has without a doubt delivered us inspiring lyrics and angelic vocals that will dig you right out of the darkest trench and carry you away. Just shut your eyes and listen to a hook full of harmonies, that will have chills running down your spine.

Chooky's remix of "Solider" struck a chord, coming at you full throttle with the incorporation of his own musical flair, which is starting to get significant recognition. With a drum & bass intro and Skrillex-esque production style, the track drops heavy into melodic dubstep. He even throws in solider marching feet and a gun sound effect in the background as a perfect adapation for what the track needs. Chooky's sound has manifested into something of his own ready, and is ready to be shared with the world.

Amba Shepherd has once again proved herself as what DMC World called her "the number one voice on today's dancefloor."

"Titan" - Clockwork

In-demand New York resident Henry Steinway, more known by his producer alias Clockwork, released this hot, new track yesterday entitled "Titan" under the Mad Decent. The original Dutch Electro-esque mix implements surges of raw bass and high-pitched synths, creating a universal big room sound fit for both clubs and festivals. Clockwork has been attracting a lot of attention recently after being premiered in Mixmag Magazine for his Spectrum and Roll the Drums remixes. Look forward to more buzz from producer, as he will definitely have more of an impact on the dance music scene to come!

"Household Goods" (Zeds Dead Remix)

Zeds Dead is back today with a sick new preview out on UKF Dubstep's YouTube Channel -  this time with some hardcore chillstep (if there's such a thing). DC promised us a few more remixes were coming in our interview with them last month, and this is obviously one of them! ZD really switch it up with this soft remix of Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs' original - instead of face-melting bass, these wobbles and snares will rock you to sleep.

"Deconstrukt" - Calvertron

This freshly released Drum and Bass track from Calvertron & Messinian is downright filthy! Its eerie buildup and dark hip-hop vocals are perfect for the explosion of bass when this massive drops. Calvertron is right at home with Jack Knife Records, just releasing the full Deconstruction EP this morning! "Deconstrukt" is a track that certainly speaks for itself, so sit back, turn up that bass, and brace yourself for what's about to hit you!
