Track of the Day: "Run Riot VIP" - Camo & Krooked

Yes!!! I love Camo & Krooked and have been waiting for so long so feature them on the site. I don't say this lightly, but these two absolutely blew my mind last year at Ultra. I've been a huge fan of this Austrian Drum & Bass duo for a while, so it's exciting to hear them release something with such energy! "Run Riot" (VIP) is a creepy wintry bass-attack of a track, with tinkering toy sounds that will have you shivering before propelling you off into thet roller coaster of adrenaline that they're known for producing. This one slaps so grab the free download!

(Relaxing Liquid) Drum & Bass Mix of Love - Mat Zo

Mat Zo remains one of Anjunabeats' top players, but the British Trance guru has a lot more up his sleeve than meets the eye. His productions ooze with groove and a distinctive liquid edge that no one else in the game seems to have, and this "Mix of Love" makes that even easier to see. Drum & Bass is by far the most overlooked subgenre within EDM, and it's a pity it hasn't yet reached the light from the underground just for the sheer development a genre undergoes when it reaches a larger appeal. Liquid and relaxing, this lucious 2-hour mix has enough soul and groove to entrance you during your late night after-parties or relax you during those early morning smoke sessions. Get ready to transcend the norm and fill your body and mind with some liquid beats.  I encourage all of you to check out the D&B stage at Ultra this year if you're going, it was the smallest last year and beat the mainstage energy on many occasions.

Free Download: "Clarity" - Zedd (Jay Cosmic Drumstep Remix)

This isn't even a Skrillex track (not that I'm the hugest fan), but by the time this one drops you'll be screaming "YES, OH MY GOD!!!" The debut studio album was a huge success for Zedd, proving to the world that EDM can do it big: Interscope Records big. The title track "Clarity" is a massive Electro track in itself, with a memorable vocal performance from Foxes. This remix will blow you away though. It's got grime, a driving D&B beat, and enough energy to get you completely in the zone after just three minutes, and the vocals just flow too perfectly. Up & comer Jay Cosmic is now directly in our radar, and a saint for giving away a download this good for free. Listen for yourselves.

"No Strings Attached" (Original Mix) - Netsky

Belgian producer Netsky has been breathing fresh life into the Drum & Bass scene with a string of popular hits and remixes for the likes of Rusko and Skream, and the deluxe version of his debut album was just released in the states. In addition to a handful of remixes and live recordings, the deluxe album includes some unreleased originals which are quite a treat considering the rate this young man already pumps out new tracks. His album 2 received praise across the EDM world, but some DNB purists were sad to see him depart from his smooth liquid DnB roots. Fear no more: Netsky has listened! No Strings Attached is a new release that features a beautiful orchestral intro for nearly two minutes. Different sections of the orchestra join in as the verse progresses to make up a string composition that could stand by itself, with a truly amazing melody. And right when the orchestral section seems complete those familiar drums come in and the track transforms to an awesome genre-blending piece. The strings continue throughout the song interplaying with the bass and drum patterns to create one of the most innovative songs I have heard recently, and its definitely worth your time to check it out! I am excited to see what else this young Belgian prodigy has in store!

Track of the Day: "Can't Control Myself" - Krewella (Protohype Remix)

Krewella is blowing up. This past summer the EDM collective blasted tunes from California to Canada to Electric Zoo, always shaking down the tent with their massive live performance. Their latest Play Hard EP may have been a bit poppy, but either way their productions are always gold when it comes to remixes. Tonight, it's time to get hyped up to a dark, Drum & Bass take on their showstopping original, "Can't Control Myself." Protohype steps up the tempo on and throws in the bass that'll make the crowd go wild with this free download Track of the Day! Enjoy.
