Free Download: "Pain" (Original Mix) - MitiS

Artists like MitiS are what make EDM so unique. Originally a classical pianist, Joe Torre crossed over into the electronic genre creating tracks in nearly every subgenre imaginable about two years ago and has been using his musical gift in a beautiful way ever since. His newest single, "Pain," is a delicate drum & bass track - not too overbearing, but still with remarkable attention to detail. The intro is ominous and has an intricately made steady lead to that DnB kick we all live for. MitiS often includes piano in his tracks as well which give a nice contrast to intense bass and kickdrums. Snag this Wednesday pick-me-up and unwind to its levels of crafted bliss.

Track of the Day: "Satellite" (Mat Zo D&B Remix) - Oceanlab

Justine Suissa's firey tale of love and separation anxiety remains one of the absolute pinnacles of vocal Trance. The Sirens of the Sea classic has been warped into every mold imaginable with everyone from Seven Lions to its original producers Above & Beyond taking a bet on the remix roulette. Today I dug back in our archives in search of a chill mix to study to and started playing Mat Zo's liquid "DnB Mix of Love" that he put out back in December. To my surprise arguably the most powerful track off the mixtape and my favorite remix of this track to date hadn't been uploaded or even mentioned anywhere on the internet. The breaks in this are ethereal and suffocating, and it really showcases the side of Zo that we don't hear too much of these days. Enjoy!

My love is like footsteps in this snow, baby,
I follow you everywhere you go, baby.
The pain as light has come to wake you
But you will never realize
That I inspire the dreams that guide you, baby.

I follow the winds that bring the cold, baby,
I light a fire in your soul, baby.
The lightest touch of feathers falling
My love might be invisible
But I inspire the dreams that guide you, baby

You're a half a world away
But in my mind I whisper every single word you say.
And before you sleep at night
You pray to me, your lucky star, your singing satellite.

Your singing satellite

You say a prayer
You say a prayer

You're a half a world away
But in my mind I whisper every single word you say.
And before you sleep at night
You pray to me, your lucky star, your singing satellite.

You're a half a world away
But in my mind I whisper every single word you say.
And before you sleep at night
You pray to me, your lucky star, your singing satellite.

"Endorphins" (Dismantle Remix) - Sub Focus ft. Alex Care

The already exceptional track "Endorphins" featuring Alex Care by England's drum and bass heavyweight Sub Focus just got even better with a wicked remix from Dismantle. One of the hottest young DJs emerging in the UK bass scene, Dismantle takes this track in a whole new direction that is right on point. The song is reworked into a Deep House progression full of shuffling hi-hats and stunning synths with a hint of future bass style. Mesmerizing build-ups followed by Alex Care's seductive vocals and an irresistibly stripped-down beat results in a sound that is truly impressive. Melting together house, bass, and garage, this track is a stunning example of what 2020 holds for bass music.

Track of the Day: "Fall Into the Sky" - Zedd ft. Ellie Goulding (Religion Remix)

I'll admit I was skeptical at first when I stumbled upon this remix of "Fall Into The Sky", originally produced by Zedd, but a minute into the track, I was won over. "Religion" adds some drum & bass vibes that really makes the sound unique. This track is far from the original once the build up blasts off and sends you into the mix. This sound is a lot more like trap but still has hints of the Zedd's signature Electro House flair that sets him apart from other DJs. This remix is definitely worth the listen, especially considering the free download!
