Video: Destroid Live @ Warfield, San Francisco

After a critically-acclaimed 10 track album release The Invasion featuring collaborations with the likes of Bassnectar and Far Too Loud (album stream here), the Dubstep collective has set off on their tour of North America guns fully loaded. The trio of Excision, Downlink, and Pendulum drummer KJ Sawka have been drawing attention for months now since the announcement of their revolutionary new style of live performances reliant on wireless MIDI controllers and digital drum kits. A quick look at the video below will have you assured that this experiment's about to take the bass world by storm in a fashion more riotous than any metal show. Prepare to be Destroid this summer when these three launch you to the stratosphere!

"Crusaders" - Destroid (Exicision, Downlink, Space Laces)

Destroid is the LIVE dubstep band consisting of producers Excision, Downlink and Space Laces. They joined together in late 2012 and released some of their first mixes together on Excision's Shambhala 2012 EP released November 1st. "Crusaders" is an example of one of the heaviest, grimiest dubstep tracks that throws this trio into a collaboration team to be reckoned with. The heavy basslines of "Crusaders" brings listeners into a new dimension of filth, live drum & bass and aggressive dubstep fusion. This is a great example of the range dubstep music takes, this song makes you want to head bang and then be taken off to space afterwards.

"Crowd Control" - Excision & Downlink (Delta Heavy Remix)

Whoa! This track makes you feel like you’re on a bass roller coaster! At first you're left hanging, until finally you're dropped over the edge to plunge through the rest of this filthy remix. Downlink and Excision are notorious getting things dirty, but with Delta Heavy thrown in, just as the song states, it "don't fuck around."  I know for a fact when they drop this one live, the crowd will be out of control! Brace yourselves for the bass!

Track of the Day: "Eat My Lazer" - Will Bailey

This UK producer is about to take the hardcore moombah scene to the next level! Fresh off his latest EP, "The Lazer," Will Bailey delivers this hot track "Eat My Lazer" at 140 bpm. With a huge drop right from the get-go, and hard hitting bass lines, Bailey beautifully combines dubstep with moombahton. Released yesterday 5/21 on Jack Knife Records, the track has already received support from the likes of Downlink, Calvertron, Vaski and Nick Thayer. You can grab this killer track on Beatport now.
