I'm sad we haven't find a high quality rip of Eric Prydz' set from Sunday, but this was one of the better dance sets to hit Coachella over the weekend. I'm already hearing stories from friends back home that have gone for many years saying this year was one of the best. Nicky Romero is of the new era of DJs being ushered into the Indio valley this year in the festival's attempt to create an all-around stacked festival, and a great party. As far as Electro House goes, the tracklist is pretty good with a good amount of IDs thrown in despite a few flops. Grab the download for free and enjoy!

01. Avicii & Nicky Romero - I Could Be The One (Nicktim) [LE7ELS]
Rob & Gareth know sure know how to impress with a tracklist, and their set from last night was just the right assortment of hard Electro and bass. Every year Coachella seems to become more of a place for dance music enthusiasts and more of a fashion show, both of which I hope you noticed from watching the live feed last night. The Ultra MegaStructure which last month held greats Digweed, Hawtin, Cox, van Dyk, and more has been stretched out to its full capacity to fit the huge desert crowd in the Sahara "tent." As a desert native I'm not too sure how much fun I'd have packed in like sardines in that weather, but a lot of people seemed to have be having a blast - check out this "Rave Dad" breaking it down. Either way this was our favorite set from last night that we could get a high quality audio rip of, although you sorely missed out if you didn't watch Benassi and Moby earlier in the night (how many IDs can one man spin?). 2013 may be the year that the mysterious duo that everyone has on their minds finally comes back to the good ol' USA. The elusive helmeted French House legends Daft Punk played at Coachella at 2006, so I would not be surprised if they came back this year. Coachella is the USA's biggest festival with the biggest names and with their mainstream appeal it makes perfect sense that the two make their big return to the salivating American EDM community there of all places. After all, if you were old enough if the early 2000s I'm sure you remember hearing "One More Time" on the Top 40.
Songkick sent out these emails earlier today, which in the past have been very accurate (the main Electric Zoo 2012 lineup was basically "leaked" through SongKick). A search on the website doesn't turn up results but this may mean we're about to get a taste of what these two have to offer us in 2013, hopefully in the Indio desert this spring.

I was one of 20,000 people to skip out on Radiohead's headlining set Saturday night for Ryan Raddon's mammoth performance at the Sahara tent during Coachella Weekend 1 in Indio, California... and with no regrets! Debuting his new "Freaks of Nature" stage and light show, Kaskade brought it as hard as it comes after the lights dimmed (and the crowd burst into screams of anticipation) for his 11:15pm set time.
Track after track, Kaskade delivered his unique and creative blend of progressive house through his hour and thirty minute set (and apparently pumped $100,000 dollars of CO2 into the tent to make everyone feel refreshed). The best part about a Kaskade show, and this Coachella performance in particular, is Ryan's positive aura that surrounded him as his youthful energy touched each and every sweaty, smiling fan. I've never seen a person so fully engrossed in absolute bliss while performing. Kaskade lives life for every moment and shares his happiness with every fan through his music. No wonder he's America's favorite producer & DJ, and mine for sure. I only wish it would have lasted for twice as long.
Make sure to check out this amazing live set!

Friday at Coachella was sick, and we are pumped to get down to some crazy beats out in the California desert again today. SHM tore up the Coachella Stage last night as the night's closing act, demonstrating the rapid rise in popularity of Electronic Dance Music. We are so psyched for today's EDM acts, which include the talents of filthy dubstep master Borgore, bass-bumping dubstep duo Zeds Dead, House superstars Sebastian Ingrosso and David Guetta, and American progressive trance DJ Kaskade (who is closing the Sahara Tent).
And now for Sunday's EDM artist highlights...
Zedd (Prog. House/Dubstep, Sahara Tent, 2:00-2:55) - Zedd has produced some sick remixes, and he consistently plays a bumpin set that is sure to please the crowd.
Flux Pavilion & Doctor P (Dubstep, Sahara Tent, 3:05-4:05) - Dubstep master Flux Pavilion and associated act Doctor P are sure to rock the house with their heavy, headbanging bass anthems. Don't miss.
Porter Robinson (House/Electro House, Sahara Tent, 4:20-5:15) - The young and talented American DJ always puts on a good show with his melodic, yet heavy beats. One of my favorite acts in the EDM world today.
Dada Life (House/Electro House, Sahara Tent, 5:30-6:25) - The Swedish Electro House duo is known for their crazy, energetic live sets. At last year's Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, Dada Life sent a 25-piece marching band on their stage to accompany them during their set. Expect a great show.
Nero (Dubstep/Drum & Bass, Sahara Tent, 6:50-8:05) - The British trio of producers Daniel Stephens and Joseph Ray and vocalist Alana Watson puts on a mean show, consistently pleasing the crowd with their poppy dubstep mixes and mellow drum & bass tracks.
Justice (French House, Coachella Stage, 7:45-8:45) - The French House duo Justice is ready to tear apart the Coachella stage with their hard-hitting, groovy electronic beats. They killed it at Ultra Music Festival this year with notable tracks "D.A.N.C.E.," "DVNO," and newer tracks off their 2nd recording Audio, Video, Disco such as "Helix." It is a great opportunity to see Justice perform live again. Do not miss this show! Our review of Justice's performance at Ultra Music Festival can be found here.
Calvin Harris (Electro House, Sahara Tent, 8:25-9:35) - Scottish DJ, vocalist, and record producer Calvin Harris always impresses the crowd with his melodic and lyrical house style. The DJ has recently reached a height of new success for singles such as the ever-popular "Feel So Close," which has been popularly remixed by dubstep artists of Nero and the like. We are super excited to see Calvin perform at this year's Coachella Valley Music festival, after he was blatantly missing from Ultra Music Festival's 2012 Lineup. Don't miss.
Avicii (Prog. House/Prog. Trance, Sahara Tent, 10:10) - Swedish House superstar Avicii has recently rocketed to an unprecedented level of fame for an electronic music producer, standing on stages with the likes of Madonna at this year's Ultra Music Festival when she infamously asked the packed main stage crowd "How many of you have seen Molly?". Avicii's tracks have become anthems for the Electronic Dance Music scene, and many have broken through to the mainstream. Sure to be a great set.
