Track of the Day: "Down To This" - Chuckie vs. Dzeko & Torres

Check out this massive banger from dirty dutch extraordinaire Chuckie and the awesome Toronto-based duo Dzeko & Torres, a track that's been largely ignored despite its huge sound. I guarantee it'll have you gyrating around right in your seat. My biggest hope tonight is that Chuckie will get the crowd going "Down to This" at EDC NY next weekend. If my wish comes out I hope you're next to me so we can shuffle our hearts out!

"Make Some Noise" - Chuckie & Junxter Jack (Laidback Luke Remix)

Dutch DJ and producer Laidback Luke sure knows how to remix the hell out of tracks. His latest masterpiece includes adding his gargantuan drops into Chuckie & Junxter Jack’s “Make Some Noise” track. Its hardcore drum beat adds that fist pumping Euro flavor, energy, and crowd pleasing synths which is proven through the crowd's explosive reactions to the remix from EDC Las Vegas to Amsterdam. LbL's way of making every track unique and switching between genres so fluently makes him a fan favorite and the reason I flew from Chicago to NYC last New Years Eve to see him tear down the house at Pacha!

"Tidal Wave" - Sub Focus ft. Alpines (& Remixes)

Sub Focus’s newest bass single "Tidal Wave" has been blowing up since they released the track’s music video in the beginning of November. It’s thick drum and bass beats combined with Alpines’ beautiful vocals make this track very easy to get attached to. The track is set to be released on November 4th and the EP will also include remixes by Chuckie, Flosstradamus, KillSonik, and Shadow Child, all of which have added their own flavor to this Dubstep masterpiece. It has to be really difficult to find a way to make an already amazing track into something even better, and all of these artists managed to do a really fantastic job. So be sure to get your hands on the EP when it drops in a few weeks! And if you haven't caught SF at a show, it's about time. He has one of the coolest setups around.

This Monday in NYC: Chuckie & Erick Morillo at Governors Island

The hype of Labor Day weekend doesn’t end with Electric Zoo. On Monday, 9/3, Dirty Dutch vs. Subliminal Sessions comes to Governors Island, the best venue in NYC, with a lineup full of heavy hitters.  It’s Chuckie vs. Erick Morillo, and Betatraxx vs. Sympho Nympho (Morillo along side the duo of Harry "Choo Choo"Romero and Jose Nunez. New York is ready to jump.

Chuckie spent his childhood in Suriname, but the Dutch sensation found his musical home in Amsterdam.  After breaking onto the scene with "Let The Bass Kick," Chuckie has continued to blow up, establishing a global fan base and becoming the face of Dirty Dutch. The sensation from Holland has, amongst his many tracks released praised records "What Happens in Vegas" and "Who is Ready to Jump," as well as "Move it 2 the Drum," a project with HardwellA regular at the world’s top clubs, DJ Chuckie puts on consistently stellar sets at the worlds top EDM festivals. I was shocked that his name was left off the Electric Zoo roster, something I'm sure he plans to address at Governors Island.

As if one world-class headliner wasn’t enough, Columbian-American producer Erick Morillo is set to mix opposite Chuckie, his friend and collaborator. Morillo began his rise to fame with the release of throwback anthem "I Like to Move It" (1993), back in the day when Morillo was known as Reel 2 Real.  Throughout his career, Erick has made sure to not stray from his underground style.  His label Subliminal Records has allowed him to keep this style, while also cashing in big paychecks as one of the most respected house labels.

Both heavyweights are bringing backup.  Accompanying Chuckie from Dirty Dutch Records is LA producer Betatraxx, aka Tim Nelson.  Describing his unique sound as "classical inspired, synth-laden techno," there’s no arguing he’s got talent.

Expect a dope set.  Supporting Morillo is Sympho Nympho, composed of Morillo along side talented producers Harry Romero and Jose Nunez.  The trio use delays, as well as anxious build ups into hype, club-friendly drops, making for what should be an incredible live set.
