Tonight in NYC: Eric Prydz at Beekman Beach Club

Eric Prydz aka Pryda is a Swedish House producer... and a legendary one at that. He's known for such fan favorites as "Pjanoo," "Call on Me," "Niton (The Reason)," and "Proper Education." He's boys with the soon-to-be-deceased Swedish House Mafia but unlike his jet-setting peers, he's afraid of flying. He stuck to performing in venues in and around Europe due to several panic attacks affecting his travel, but not any longer. North America has been deprived of his talent for far too long, but today is a special day. Today is something for the EDM history books. We heard absolutely rave reviews about his performance a few weeks back in LA, so we're sure when he hits Gotham it's going to be insane. New York City is blessed with not one, but two performances by Prydz: one at Identity Festival today at Jones Beach, and tonight at the tip of Lower Manhattan at the Beekman Beach Club. If you're a true EDM fan you'll want to ignore the unfavorable elements and make the trek out to one, or both, of these special events with us. Tickets are sold out so if you really want to make this monumental event, StubHub will be your best friend today. And don't be lame, catch the after party at Pacha with Madeon

This Sunday in NYC: Knife Party @ Beekman Beach Club

We could not be more excited to see Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, aka Knife Party, coming to New York City this Sunday! Originally planned to be the debut act for Pacha's hyped Brooklyn Terminal Project, which is guaranteed to be the hottest new venue in the city upon opening, the Australian Electro House & Dubstep duo will be instead playing their set at Beekman Beach Club at South Street Seaport. Regardless of the venue change, Rob and Gareth will still be blasting their trademark sound in open air under the bright lights of the city.

After having their debut performance less than two years ago at the world-famous Space Ibiza, the two have rapidly climbed to the top of the EDM game by producing hard-hitting dubstep anthems with signature catchy lyrics and progressions. Having their roots in live music (the Drum & Bass band Pendulum) the two understand both how to get the crowd going, and the fundamentals of musical production.

Their set at Ultra Music Festival this year in Miami was nothing short of spectacular; the two definitely outdid the EDM poster-child Skrillex for best mainstage #BASS act. On top of a recent slew of great sets, last week's release of their new EP, Rage Valley (which we are proud to say we leaked) is guaranteed to make Sunday's show a crazy one. With unbelievable views of Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge, world-class event hosting by Pacha & RPM, and support by Nick Catchdubs, Alex English, Hellfire Machina, and Sazon Booya, this is going to be one hell of a party. We will be covering press at the event, so look for our official review with tracklist, event photos, and more early next week! And make sure to check out the Teaser Trailer below!
