"Sucker Punch" (Sied van Riel Remix) - Alex M.O.R.P.H. [Exclusive]

Alex MORPH released "Sucker Punch" almost exactly a year ago, with the original has serving its purpose as a perfect interlude to any set. From various stops on the ASOT expedition to his New Years' Eve sets, the German Trance DJ has thrown this one into a ton of mixes. Today I present you with Sied van Riel's remix of the song which adds a steadier bounce to the track that keeps your head nodding. Watch out for a release soon!

Preview: "Thunder" - W&W

The giant producers W&W just released a teaser for their monstrous upcoming release "Thunder." Luckily enough we were able to find a rip of the track from A State of Trance in Miami, but you can still listen to the short clip below. Willem & Wardt's latest is a bit more Progressive than their usual offerings, and if you thought "D#Fat" was a massive banger, just wait until you hear this track. The original mix is set for release through Beatport on May 20th, we'll be updating you when it gets uploaded.

Free Download: ASOT 610 - Armin van Buuren

Armin had the whole Trance Family talking this afternoon with yet another memorable episode of A State of Trance. After last week's Who's Afraid of 138 special we weren't expecting to hear so much uplifting in this week's broadcast but Armin once again impressed us to say the least. Two tracks into it AvB took the pleasure of premiering the title track of his upcoming world tour "Intense," featuring the sharp vocals of Miri Ben-Ari. Other highlights for me were the great mashup of Arctic Moon's remix of "Coming Home" vs. One Republic and of course Ferry Corsten's most hyped recent track that we've been hearing ever since POP New Year's Eve: "Fuck The Bullshit." Overall this week was one of the more balanced mixes we've heard recently from Armin so we're excited what he'll be doing with his immense skills on the upcoming tour.

Free Download: ASOT 609 Who's Afraid of 138 Special

Today marked a great step back for Trance music on the international stage as Armin van Buuren once again tested the tides for a response to his Who's Afraid of 138 experiment in Den Bosch. Although I must concede that ASOT609 wasn't trending as furiously as usual on Twitter, the response to today's episode was tremendous nonetheless. Putting the other top jocks to shame by tossing out the pop-Electro bangers and lulling us in A State of Trance, Armin reminded us yet again of what we've been missing here across the pond. Over the course of two hours of enigmatic melodies straddling the divides between pure and chopped-up, dark and uplifting, the only defining structure to be heard was "138+ or bust!" Today the TranceFamily can happily say the world is more than ready for uplifting to once again dominate the mainstage. Considering the clever marketing that's been going into WAO138 lately, we can't rule out a tour either. Keep crossing your fingers.

"We Are the People" (Arctic Moon Remix) - Empire of the Sun

We get a ton of remixes in our mailbox every day, and I have to admit I turn down most of them (how many different ways can you hear "Clarity?"). I know you're probably thinking this song hit its prime back in 2011 - I thought so too. In one of the best sets of the entire ASOT expedition, Arctic Moon juxtaposed the Empire of the Sun acapella mixed against his own airy remix of Mark Leanings' "Whatever Happens" to create what was for me the most powerful remix of this song I've ever heard. In one fowl swoop the Polish producer gloriously resurrected the track before putting it back into its grave for eternity. If you haven't heard his set from last weekend in Den Bosch be sure to check it out!
