Track of the Day: "Not Too Late" (Bassnectar & PatrickReza Remix)

Bassnectar and PatrickReza have just released a new remix of Tom Swoon's "Not Too Late" after playing it at weekend 1 of UMF, and let me tell you, this track is THE SHIT. Lorin as we all know after this weekend always does a fantastic job with remixes (Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds anyone?!) and this banger is certainly no different. I love the contrast between Amba Shepherd's airy vocals and the heavier basslines that are in this reboot, and I can't get this one out of my head. Definitely a huge step for the songstress into the bass scene! So throw on some good headphones, have a listen, and then click the "repeat" button, because if you're anything like me, you're gonna wanna have this playing for the rest of the day.

Track of the Day: "Apollo" (Dash Berlin 4 AM Remix) - Hardwell ft. Amba Shepherd

One of the most geniune and talented vocalists I know Amba Shepherd has been riding a rising wave of success with her back to back dance floor hits. If you missed Dash Berlin's mix for ASOT 600 in Mexico City today you have quite the surprise ahead of you. "Apollo" (Dash Berlin 4 AM Remix) has a trance synth build up, that will have your hands up in the air and drops hard into a different sound for Dash. Although it has the feel of a Trance composition, this is a new level of heavy sounds for Dash Berlin. We are the lucky ones for having such talented artists collaborating to bring us one of the best tracks of the year!

"Finally" (Original Mix) - Amba Shepherd & Mikkas

Revered in the EDM realm for his signature remixes, the Great Dane Mikkas is back with an original "Finally," a massive collaboration with seasoned dance vocalist Amba Shepherd.  Big-room complextro is the name of Mikkas’ game, as he harmoniously implements discordant mechanical leads, melodic piano play, and diverse beat work to color a canvas that fosters an enhanced listener experience with simultaneous enjoyment and genuine producer appreciation. Support thus far has been garnered from a pool of elite artists that includes Porter RobinsonZeddNicky RomeroDash BerlinFerry CorstenDirtyloud, and W&W. Manager Jonas Bäckström tells me that Mikkas will likely be making his way to both the US and Asia in the near future. After producing in 2011 and 2012 what can arguably be deemed as works of art, most recently for his remix for fellow Aussie vocalist Emma Hewitt. Mikkas is finally starting to gain major recognition for his tracks in 2013, and it doesn't look like his momentum is stopping anytime soon.

"Let the Love" - Dmitry KO & Starkillers ft. Amba Shepherd

Starkillers & Dmitry KO's latest Spinnin Records' hit has already been widely supported from the likes of Tiësto and Hardwell, and today it hits the Lounge. Sometimes synth just takes your breath away, but with the addition of Australian songstress Amba Shepherd's voice, this one is a sensation. Her piercing vocals will take ahold of your soul and "Let the Love" flow into 2013. This past year has been a whirlwhind for the artist, as she grabbed the EDM wave by the horns and rode it to the top with the help of Dyro ("Sky High") and Hardwell ("Apollo"), among others. The next year is the year she solidifies her name as "dance music's vocal queen," so we really hope to see her stunning smile touring around the USA! This showstopping record hits stores tomorrow so check it out!

"Apollo" (Original Mix) - Hardwell ft. Amba Shepherd

Holland's Electro superstar and Australia's dance-pop queen come back swinging with the full original mix of "Apollo." This track made its huge debut back at the Amsterdam Dance Event in September to thunderous applause, and for good reason. This Revealed Recordings record was one we had our eyes focused on for the past two months and the full HQ mix released today does not disappoint. With a catchy glitch-driven tune that provides the perfect interlude to Amba Shepherd's trademark vocals when you get to the break, she'll take you over the mountaintop and further to a Progressive fantasyland. With a markedly less hard-Electro sound from Hardwell, this tune takes us in a new direction for the Dutch producer. Bring on the remixes!
