"Shut Up & Sing" V2.0 - Zeds Dead ft. Greta Svabo Bech

DC and Hooks have had their eyes on Scandinavian songstress Greta Svabo Bech, known for "Raise Your Weapon" and "Fire Inside," for some time now, and ahead of their Altered States tour kicking off later this month they decided to upload this killer track just a few hours ago. "Shut Up & Sing" is about "feeling trapped in a situation and finally working up the courage to do something about it, even if you don't know what you're gonna do," Greta explains. Calling upon the powerful sound that put early Zeds Dead on the map with its soft, but eerie vocal line cut in harsh contrast by jarring bass, this latest release is sure to define their direction towards 2014. The duo have yet to blast this one in a DJ set but we have been assured attendees of their upcoming tour will get a taste of it. Grab the track with official remixes September 6th!

Free Download: "By Your Side" - Zeds Dead

Oh, Canada! The home of hockey, poutine, and great melodic dubstep. Zeds Dead are notorious for their adrenaline-pumping tunes, but "By Your Side" showcases the equally enthralling softer edge to these bass enthusiasts that. The track features beautiful and comforting "Lana Del Rey"-style vocals that nicely complement a rather psychedelic bass melody. This unique and artistic track is a good break from what appears to be a lull in the creativity of Dubstep production. With a flowing structure of spontaneity, this song raises feelings of euphoria and ease to the listener. Rest assured, Zeds Dead are far from dead!

Free Download: Zeds Dead Spring Promo Mix

I never doubt any release from ZD because they are masters at what they do but really, this mix is killing the game. While they are notorious for their bass-heavy bangers, this mix has a surprising diversity of sound that showcases the guys' abilities and hints at a possible change in their musical style. The mix starts off with some classic ZD Dubstep before smoothly dropping in to a few trap beats. After another quick stop in the land of Progressive House, the mix gets in to 6 minutes of pure sexiness somewhere between 25:00 and 31:00. This part has a slow yet sultry beat that echoes relentlessly, a type of sexy that makes me want to slow grind up against a wall. With no time to cool down, ZD picks up the pace for the rest of the ride, throwing in some moombah, reggae, Biggie, and other surprises galore. Undoubtedly, this is their best mix to date. Zeds Dead will be kicking off their worldwide tour this week and I am excited to say that I will be seeing them this weekend in the best location imaginable: Amsterdam. Performing at the RFLX festival held at Heineken Music Hall, ZD will be joined by Netsky, Datsik, Sub Focus, and many more!

"Ratchet" (Original Mix) - Zeds Dead

This "ratchet" word has been sweeping our lovely nation and has been making its way into some popular hip hop songs but now its our turn. The original lyrics from the Juicy J song "Bands A Make Her Dance" have been taken by Zeds Dead and transformed into the massive trappy song, "Ratchet." This song is full of lazer sounds and glitch, and if you like vulgarity mixed with an awesome drop and Trap you gotta check out this new song. It has all the elements in it for any one who likes music, except maybe your parents. This one was heard a few times last weekend so get ready to get down for round two!
