Preview: Global Dance Festival at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

EDM Lounge could not be more excited for three days of bumping house, trance, and dubstep this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the dramatic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO! The Red Rocks has hosted some of the biggest names in Rock n' Roll, from The Beatles to U2 to the Grateful Dead, but this weekend get ready for a Rocky Mountain Electronic invasion!!!

With a seriously stacked lineup Friday and Saturday, and one of the best bass lineups, the highly-anticipated 10th annual Global Dance Festival is going to be an experience no raver could ever forget.

Krewella (9:30 - 10:30 PM, Global Bass Stage)

Truly a unique act within EDM, Krewella is one not to miss this weekend at Red Rocks. The Chicago-based trio is known for melding melodic progressions with jaw-dropping bass. A Krewella show is an energetic contagion - don't miss it.

Hardwell (9:30 - 11:00 PM, Stage)

This Dutch House star has risen to the top quicker than anyone we've ever seen. Hardwell produces a consistently crowd-pleasing sound, and his live sets are always something to write home about.

Knife Party (11:00 PM - 12:30 AM, Stage)

Rob and Gareth have carried dubstep into the mainstream with their hard-hitting bass drops and unique production style that screams GORE! Get ready to rage (valley)!

3LAU (11:30 - 12:30 AM, Global Bass Stage)

When he's not busy studying at Washington University in St. Louis, he's up making beats or touring the country. 3LAU (pronounced "BLAU") is one of the newest stars to hit the EDM scene, and it looks like he's here to stay. We're really looking forward to seeing his set, which should be chock full of innovative Progressive House originals and killer bootlegs.

Track of the Day: "Back to New" - James Egbert (3LAU Remix)

3LAU remixes James Egbert's "Back to New" with a crazy synth lead mixed with some expertly cut vocals. This is one to play before you hit the town. Fun Fact: 3LAU is a college junior at Washington U. If he can make tunes this good while balancing a full course load I cannot wait to see what this kid puts out when he graduates and can devote more time to his music.

And if you enjoyed this one, make sure to check out this bumping bootleg vs. R3hab!
