"Never Say Goodbye" makes up for its somewhat stale backbeat with a truly powerful vocal section from Bright Lights which provides a glossy coating over the sweeping rhythm. Dyro and his mentor wind down the tempo with perfect form before pulling us backwards, unraveling a beat that pops open like a jack-in-the-box. These past couple weeks or so, I've been in somewhat of a musical funk. I've been trying to find some new music, but I've been having a hard time finding exactly what I want to listen to. Fortunately, Bare has come to my rescue with his remix of AC Slater and Nick Thayer's "Night Owl." It’s a departure from some of his remixes in the past, with the biggest difference being that this one is set at 110 BPM. I’m usually a bit cautious when it comes to Dubstep artists making tracks in the Moombahton BPM range, but Bare quickly put my doubts to rest. He mixes his legendary bass wobble so well with the Moombahton beat you’d think he's been making Moombahcore his entire life. It's a superb remix, and it's exactly what I needed to get out of my funk - grab the free download!

Besides providing electronic music fans an opportunity to enjoy some of their favorite artists in a beautiful setting, Movement has always had another equally important purpose: celebrating the roots of Techno in its birthplace of Detroit. As electronic music is becoming more and more popular, celebrating the individuals who helped shape the trajectory that led to what we have today is something we cannot do enough of. One of those original innovators is Carl Craig. Together with the Belleville Three (Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson, and Derrick May), he was one of the innovators and driving forces behind the futuristic Detroit Techno sound. In addition to spreading his love of electronic music across the world, Carl has also been an outstanding ambassador for the city of Detroit. As co-creator of the original Detroit Electronic Music Festival, he’s worked tirelessly to preserve my city's underground electronic music scene for future generations to enjoy.

Carl Craig's set at Movement 2013 is scheduled for 7 p.m. next Saturday at the Red Bull Music Academy stage. He’s been known to put on some incredible live shows in the past at the festival, and this year is sure to be no exception. If there's any artist who is a must see for me next weekendit's Carl Craig, and EDM Lounge will be there in full force celebrating everything he's done for Movement and the movement. One day passes are still available for $49, so there's no reason not to make it out!

Toby Hedges has really set the bar high with this new remix of "Pink Skye." While listening to Above & Beyond's Group Therapy, I was mesmerized by this track and instantly had to search for the tracklist. "Pink Skye" features samples of the breathtaking and haunting vocals performed by Renee Stahl and the remix combines some old school Trance mixed with new age club beats to make one of the best Anjunabeats remixes in a while. This remix leaves me with uplifted spirits and was a much-needed stress reliever for me during finals - grab it on its release May 20th!

Well the hype is finally over. Earlier today we were excited to hear that iTunes would be streaming Random Access Memories ahead of the May 21st release date and they finally came through. Of course that also meant the pirates would be at work getting it up on the web for all of our enjoyment. The files as of now are at a low 192 bitrate but who really cares? We don't usually post illegal downloads but hey, this is Daft Punk. We're not hosting the files so suck it Columbia!!!

These two are always on our radar even if they've been evasive for the past few years. The Toronto based duo of Adam K and Soha Radjpoust are some of the most important pioneers of the Progressive movement that inspired the sounds of today. Their newest release for Hotbox Digital takes their sound forward to an arena-sized bigroom vibe, a huge departure from classics like "Twilight" or their remix of "4 AM" for Kaskade which were distinct for unraveling basslines matched with soothing drum breaks. While admittedly some fans may be disappointed with the change-up, I think they pulled off the sound they were going for with esteem and remarkable precision. You go guys!

If you tuned into to this week's episode of Tritonal's Tritonia or BT's guest mix on episode 26 of Group Therapy, then this tune will sound familiar. "The Emergency Code" is a spectacular mashup that wraps BT and Andrew Bayer's "The Emergency" around the pumping sound of W&W and Ummet Ozcan's "The Code."

These two are amazing on their own, but it surprised me how well the sound meshed together to add a different vibe to one of the favorite Electro tracks from the ASOT Expedition. BT is on a roll this year, having released hits such as his remix of L.A. by Super8 & Tab for Anjunabeats and the mindblowing "Skylarking." I'm off the wall excited to hear his new album and what else Brian has in store for us for the summer.
