"Wasting My Young Years" (Sound Remedy Remix) - London Grammar [Track of the Day]

Some voices are born to fill electronic music with the proper emotion and reality to accompany the rolling vibes produced from the cacophony of synths, drumbeats, and hi-hats. Voices of Lana Del Rey, Ellie Goulding, and more recently, Hannah Reid of "London Grammar" have been center stage as features spanning many genres, including House, Trance, and Dubstep. LA's Sound Remedy has taken notice to Reid's pipes and recently went to work on his remix of London Grammar's track, "Wasting My Young Years." Filled with liberating piano chords paired with guitar strums resembling those accustom to The XX, Sound Remedy took the beautiful original score and added a level of strength and ambition to the track with the subtle yet forceful break continuing into a sustained rager of a chorus. This is definitely a track to check out. I am hoping to see Sound Remedy in Chapel Hill next Tuesday to feel this song in person with all its glory. If you're in New York City like some of us you have to be sure to check him out under the vibrating sounds of Cielo's Funktion One soundsystem this Friday alongside Victor Niglio!
