Track of the Day: "Phenomenology" (Club Mix) - Judge Jules

2013 truly seems like it will be the year for the resurgence of Trance, and those deep in the industry must sense it too, as Judge Jules comes seemingly out of nowhere to release this incredible track that features something that will appeal to all of the genre purists. Not many of the older DJs can still garner attention these days, but without missing a beat this track includes hints of Hard Dance, Electro, and some classical melodies that really make it hard to classify as anything except awesome. Grinding synths and dizzying arpeggios are the foundation of the intro, but when the melody comes in, it's clear that there is quite a special treat ahead as the tension mounts and anticipation for the drop increases. The squeals and wobbles are so intense that it sounds like Judge Jules teamed up with the boys of Torro Torro for some Electro-house sound engineering, but the fact that one of Britain's DJ forefathers can produce genre-blending hits like this is quite a testament to Judge Jules' true capabilities. This will definitely be a fun one to hear live or mix into your own sets!
