Your Guide to Electric Zoo NY Afterparties

Excited for Zoo? I sure as hell am. Concerned about how early the festival ends each night? Not a problem! Made Event (who hosts the festival) have some terrific post-festival afterparties that are happening each night after the festival at Best Buy Theatre and Roseland Ballroom in New York City, and I am thrilled that I'll be able to continue the party into the wee hours of the morning until I "calm down" (these shows are also a great opportunity for those who aren't attending EZoo to still experience the massively talented lineup). Sound awesome? It is.

Friday 8/31/2012

EDITOR'S PICK: Zeds Dead, 12th Planet, Netsky, Mt. Eden, & more (Best Buy Theater from 11-4 AM)

This is going to be a sick show (and one yours truly will definitely be attending). The lineup for this is already stacked, and the pricetag is very reasonable considering the amount of talent they are cramming into 5 hours. Literally every one of these main headliners puts on a sick show, and having seen ZD and Mt. Eden perform together at this very same venue before I can guarantee you the house will be fucking brought down. Check out these videos of live shows and recent tracks And take our word for it, Best Buy Theater has incredible bass.

Michael Woods, Gabriel & Dresden with Audien hosted by Ferry Corsten (Roseland Ballroom, 11 PM - 4:30 AM)

Not into Dubstep or DnB? That's totally fine, head over to Roseland Ballroom instead and catch what will be a massive party hosted by some big names in Trance and House. This is a great choice for those who want to continue in their "state of Trance" until Saturday morning, and there's no better place to do that than Roseland, hands down one of NYC's best venues. Have a look at some of their tracks and live stuff. This will definitely be an awesome show, and you should expect to see some of our Trance Family keeping it PLUR at this one, so stop by and say hi!

Markus Schulz Scream Album Tour with KhoMha (Best Buy Theater, 11 PM - 4 AM)

Insanity. Trance artist Markus Schulz will be playing a massive set in celebration of his album Scream that will be released on Friday 8/31. Like Trance? Then this is definitely the place to be Saturday night. This year's Trance lineup at Zoo is incredibly stacked, so if you miss any big names, the afterparties are the time to catch up with who you missed!

Tickets ($55)

EDITOR'S PICK: Benny Benassi, Bingo Players, Adrian Lux, and PeaceTreaty (Roseland Ballroom, 11 PM - 4:30 AM)

Mother of God, this show will be epic. All the artists that will be at this afterparty are immensely talented and can throw down, making it a fantastic way to cap off all the Electro House epicness that will be taking place at Randall's on Saturday. Benny Benassi has long been one of the most well known names in the biz, and his tracks STILL get me pumped up (um, hello "Turn Me Up"). With support from glitch-heavy Bingo Players and Adrian Lux, this is an absolute must see show.

Aly & Fila vs. John O'Callaghan, Jochen Miller, and Jaytech (Best Buy Theater, 11 PM - 4 AM)

Trance Family - pay attention! There's no better way to cap off your weekend of epic raging than with 5 hours of pure melodies and big sound from some of the fastest rising stars in the Trance game. Aly & Fila have been on top of their game the past few months, and we couldn't be happier to see them hit our home turf with their hypnotic Trance sound. Be there or be square.

Tickets ($35)

EDITOR'S PICK: Hardwell, Zedd, Bart B More, & Treasure Fingers (Roseland Ballroom, 11 PM - 4:30 AM)

This. This will be awesome. Because there is so much talent in the EZoo lineup this year, it's pretty much impossible for us to see everyone that we want in all their glory, and this particular aftershow presents a prime opportunity to see some of the big names that we might otherwise have to miss. I remember seeing Zedd open very early for Deadmau5 at Roseland Ballroom in October, so it's been a real treat watching his rise to the top from such humble beginnings (think "The Legend of Zelda"). This is the final day, and Monday is a holiday, so this is the night to make it count. With only a 45-dollar pricetag to see Hardwell and Zedd, this is a steal for all you starving ravers out there.
