"Spend It" - Mayhem & Antiserum (Free Download)

From the duo that brought you “Brick Squad Anthem,” the ATL’s Mayhem and San Fran’s Antiserum are back with yet another massive Trap collab “Spend It” that’s now available as a free download. The guys constructed various harmonious arrangements comprising of the typical trap rolling snare drum action, stabbing mechanical leads similar to that of Knife Party moombahcore, and samples of loose change, an opening cash register, and what seem to be taps on a hollow xylophone. The sheer complexity of the track with so many moving parts not only makes for a mix that fosters an exciting listening experience, but it also enables you to recognize pure integration where the resulting production quality of the collab is stronger than the sum of both Mayhem and Antiserum’s already exceptional individual production skill sets. The same “1+1=3” effect can be seen in the collaborative works of progressive and electro house counterparts Faustix & ImanoS. Duos and groups, whether official like Swedish House Mafia or unofficial like the Mayhem and Antiserum brotherly bond, hold tremendous value in the world of EDM as further collaborative efforts spur an even greater quality of music to be appreciated!
